Wai'anapanapa State Park or "glistening waters" is where we stopped to see the black sand beach. The water was not very calm so we just sat on the beach and enjoyed our surroundings. There were some visitors who enjoyed the waves and thought it would be fun to get smacked into the beach so we lived the excitement through them.
Wai-lua Falls is a 95' waterfall which we passed on the Hana Highway. This was one of about 3 or 4 waterfalls we saw that had water on our drive to Hana. It was disappointing to drive the road with little to see in the waterfall department since there are so many along the way.
Kevin and Bryan walked a path which put them right in front of the falls.
