Christmas with the Ahlstrom Family

When we got home from Utah, the boys were surprised to see that Santa (the Ahlstroms) made a stop at our house as well. He left stockings with goodies and even dropped his hat by the fireplace. They were excited to see presents and surprises that he left in their stockings. The Ahlstroms came over tonight (Tuesday) to celebrate with us and watch the boys open their presents. Hunter and Kenyon had a hard time waiting all day to open the presents that were under the tree. They were cute to watch and loved everything they got. We even had a birthday cake to celebrate two important birthdays - Joseph Smith (Dec. 23) and Jesus. What a fun tradition that has turned out to be.

Christmas Day

The boys were so excited to see if Santa came and ate their cookies. They were thrilled he left them a note and even some cookie, since he was too full to finish. Before church we checked out our stockings and the presents that were left with them. After we got home from the choir presentation, we opened the rest of the presents. Hunter was excited to open his presents and was there to help Kenyon. Kenyon loved to rip the paper and more excited to see what was inside. We had a wonderful time visiting Utah for the holiday and are excited to see what Santa left us back in San Jose.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve day, we drove to Sandy, Utah to see Chelsey's siblings. We hung out with for the day and had dinner together. The boys loved playing with their cousins. We had a great time hanging out and watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Before it got to late, we drove back to Centerville and finished Christmas Eve with Kevin's parents, his sister Kristin and her new husband Cody, and Grandma Patterson. We read of Christ's birth and opened presents. The boys got their new pair pajames and also exchanged gifts. They loved their trucks and couldn't wait to put out cookies for Santa.

Utah Vacation

Kevin's youngest sister, Kristin got married on December 20, so we took a trip to Utah. We had a great time seeing Kevin's entire family for a week. The boys had fun playing with all of their cousins and it was fun to watch them. We were excited to let the boys play in the snow but the closest they got to it was throwing snowballs while on the temple grounds during pictures.
