Soccer season begins.

Tonight was Hunter's first game. He got lucky and is on the red team and even got to be #3. He was just thrilled. He was not sure about getting in there to get the ball with all the others but after a little pep talk from Dad he went for it. He made a few goals and always looked to Dad to get approval. We had a great time and it was fun to see him so excited.

First Day of Kindergarten

Wednesday, August 29

Today was the start of something wonderful. Hunter went to his first day of Kindergarten. He was so excited and couldn't wait to go. We dropped Kenyon off with Grandma Grange and headed to the school. With being the first day we got to go with him and observe. It was a pretty low key day. The next four days they are doing assessments, so Hunter won't go back for a full day of school until next Thursday. Until then he has an assignment to do here at home to prepare.

I have heard that sending your first off to school is really hard, but for me it was actually not hard. I am as excited as Hunter is, so no tears were shed. Next week I get to send Kenyon off to his first year of preschool and I am also looking forward to that. Three morning a week, with no children what am I to do? I know I will find something.

Utah Bee's Game

Thursday, August 16

We went to the Bee's game along with Kevin's parents and his sister Jenny's family. The boys were so excited to go. They always loved going to the Giants games in California even though this was not the same. They still had a good time watching the game and even talked Dad into buying them baseball bats.

Monday, August 13

This past week, most of the kids on our circle have learned to ride their big bikes. Hunter decided he wanted to learn on his, so we took the training wheels off and let him go. He is doing well, since he has not wanted to ride his bike since he got it for his birthday back in April. Every night or so we go out for a little walk and Hunter rides his bike and Kenyon gets on his scooter and off we go. They enjoy the time and soon enough we won't be able to keep up with them.

Primary Bike Parade

Saturday, August 11

Hunter and Kenyon were both excited to be a part of the bike parade. We met at the grassy area across from our house that morning to decorate their scooters. After all the kids had decorated their bikes or scooters they all headed off to ride through the neighborhood. The parade ended at the Paces' home where the kids and adults all got to eat a Pace Popsicle. It turned out to be a very hot morning and I wasn't sure Kenyon was going to make it. He was tired even before he made it around our little circle, which was maybe a third of the way to the end. He endured and finished the parade even though they took a shortcut.

It's a GIRL!!!!!!

So I had another appointment today and am lucky enough to have a Doctor that has an ultrasound machine in his office. We got another good look at our baby, which is developing really well. Her legs were still crossed but we were able get a look this time. We only caught two white lines before her knee covered her up again but more evidence of a girl. My Dr. said he will check again next month to make sure. She is definitely a very modest girl. She hardly moves and always has her legs crossed.
