Happy Halloween

Wednesday, October 31

Tonight was a very busy evening. We started out by going to one of our neighbor's homes where we visited with members from our ward and neighborhood. while eating hot dogs and goodies. After that the boys started to trick-or-treat around our neighborhood with Daddy. I hung out with some friends of ours giving candy away at their house, also eating some very delicious food.





















After the boys got tired we headed to Grandpa and Grandma Grange's. We met up with Kevin's sister Jenny and her family. I stayed home again while Kevin took the boys trick-or-treating around his old neighborhood.















Before we headed home we went to see Great Grandma Patterson. She was excited to see the boys in their costumes and they were excited to get some more candy.




















The boys were so exhausted when we finally got them home that they slept really well. It was really hard to wake them both up for school the next morning though.

Sugar Cookies

Monday, October 29

Today after the boys got home from school we cut out our cookies. The boys thought it was great to roll out their own dough and cut the cookies. Hunter especially liked eating the dough. I forgot to take pictures of the finished cookies but here they are after we got them all on the cookie sheets.

Boo at the Zoo Day

Saturday, October 27

This afternoon we met up with my brother Jamie and his family at the zoo. My Dad was in town Friday night and so we were able to spend the day with him before his flight. The Hogle Zoo was hosting it's annual Boo at the Zoo where you can go trick-or-treating. The boys had a good time like always even though this was the busiest I had ever seen the zoo.

Halloween Preparations

Monday, October 22

For FHE this week we went to the Pumpkin Patch. We found 3 pumpkins right off, so the majority of our time at the patch was watching the boys run through the hay maze. They had a great time chasing each other and finding different ways through the maze.

After Daddy worked a few more hours we started our night of carving the pumpkins. The boys did really well at cleaning them out and then Kevin and I went to work on the time consuming part of the evening.

When they were finished we took them outside to see how the looked with their lights inside.

Ahlstroms come for a visit

October 12 -14, 2007

This weekend some of our California family came into town - the Ahlstroms. It was so good to have them here and the boys were so excited. Time went by really fast but it was well spent.

Family Night

Monday, October 1

For FHE, Hunter wanted to go bowling. Kevin finished work early so we could go before it got too late. Well we were the only ones there and had a great time. This was the first time I had gone bowling pregnant and how it affected me physically and score wise. We were able to play 2 games and how close our scores all were. So funny.

The Planetarium

Monday, September 17

We had another fun and exciting day with everyone. We were able to see a show at the planetarium, which the kids enjoyed and then they ran all over Mars and even gave themselves a funny new hairdo.

While we had the family in town we were able to get a picture of all the cousins together and one with Grandpa and Grandma.

For Adam's birthday, we were able to have a great evening as a family. The boys love going to Bouncin' off the Walls. I had a little harder time going up the slides but had a great time.

Another day at the Zoo

While Chris and Natalie were in town visiting we visited the zoo once again. The boys loved the time they had with their cousins. It was fun to watch them interact with each other and get so excited about everything, especially the train ride - which we rode twice.

Kenyon starts Soccer

This morning was Kenyon's first game. He has been so excited that we thought this would be a fun thing. Well he got out on the field before the game and kicked the ball around but when the game started he wouldn't play. He just cried. I got a few pictures of him practicing and then the video is all we have of him playing in the game. Hopefully next week will go better and he can show everyone how much he loves to play.

Kenyon's First Day of Preschool

This morning after we dropped Hunter off at school we came home and got ready to take Kenyon to his first day of preschool. He was so excited to go and take his backpack with him. Once we got there he was quiet and did not want me to leave. I only stayed a couple of minutes and left him with his teacher. When Hunter and I went to pick him up, He came out running with a huge smile. His teacher said he was a delight and when he warmed up he wouldn't stop talking. He knows most of the kids in the class since they are neighborhood friends but what I have been told by his teacher is that he and another boy that is not in our ward, Isaac, become good little friends and stuck together. So Kenyon branched out and made another friend.

For Labor Day we went to the zoo. With it being a holiday we decided to go first thing in the morning. We had a good time seeing the animals and having Kevin along with us. Usually it is just me and the boys.

We met up with Kevin's brother Scott and his sister Jenny and their families. The boys had a great time with their cousins. As it got later, the zoo got busier so I am glad we went first thing.

Soccer season begins.

Wednesday, August 29

Tonight was Hunter's first game. He got lucky and is on the red team and even got to be #3. He was just thrilled. He was not sure about getting in there to get the ball with all the others but after a little pep talk from Dad he went for it. He made a few goals and always looked to Dad to get approval. We had a great time and it was fun to see him so excited.
